Profile Development (Grades 9-11)

Profile Development Advising programs include support for students across grades 9-12. As college admissions continue to get more competitive, planning with intentionality early on is crucial, which is why we offer support for students as early as 9th grade. Programs include:

Regular live check-ins via phone, video call, or in-person
Extracurricular Activity Advising (Sports, Clubs, Volunteer Work, Jobs, etc.)
SAT/ACT Prep Advising
Summer Opportunities Advising (Pre-College Programs, Internships, Research Opportunities, etc.)
College Application Requirement/System Previews
Support with Drafting/Editing Applications for Extracurricular/Summer Opportunities

General Advising

Hourly Application Advising programs allow students to seek support with specific components of their college applications without signing up for a Comprehensive Application Advising program. Students can seek live (phone, video call, in-person in Chicago) and/or asynchronous (email, document sharing) support with any component of the application process on an hourly basis. This is a great option for students who only need limited support, such as with creating a college list, with strategic positioning of experience in application essays, or with editing essays once drafts are complete.

Comprehensive Application (Grade 12)

Comprehensive Application Advising programs include all-encompassing, unlimited support with the entire application process for a set number of schools, from crafting a college list with schools that are a strong fit to preparing for interviews after applications are submitted. Programs include:

Unlimited live check-ins via phone, video call, or in-person
College List Creation and Support Choosing Which Schools to Apply To
Major Selection Strategy Advising
Deadline (Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision) Strategy Advising
Application System Support (Common Application, UC Application, MIT Application, etc.)
Letter of Recommendation/Brag Sheet Support
Activities/Honors Selection and Positioning Support
Personal Statement Topic Brainstorming, Selection, Drafting, and Editing Support
Supplemental Essay Topic Brainstorming, Selection, Strategic Positioning, Drafting, and Editing Support
Interview Preparation, including Mock Interviews
