Dominique’s Background & Philosophy

Dominique has dedicated her entire career to supporting high school students as they choose, plan for, and pursue postsecondary education and career pathways. She has been mentoring high school students, both in the public education space and private college admissions consulting space, for the last 7+ years.

As a first-generation college graduate, Dominique understands first-hand the value in having someone who can personally guide you through the college admissions process, especially as it continues to get more complex and competitive. She is highly relationship-focused in her approach, spending ample time to truly get to know each student’s background, experiences, and goals.

She is passionate about helping students craft an authentic and compelling narrative centered around their unique purpose, no matter if they come to her for help narrowing down academic interests and career paths in the 9th grade or for help refining their story during the application process senior year.

Education & Credentials

Dominique is an Ivy League graduate, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College. Having completed the pre-medicine track at Dartmouth, Dominique specializes in advising students looking to pursue STEM-based fields, such as Medicine, Engineering, and Computer Science.

While on the Dartmouth campus, Dominique worked in the Admissions Office as a tour guide, which offered her valuable insight into what the college values most. After graduating, she served as an Alumni Interviewer for the Admissions Office, which allowed her to gain a deeper understanding of how applicants are evaluated.

Dominique also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree with a concentration in Special Education from the Relay Graduate School of Education, which she completed during her time teaching high school through the highly selective Teach for America program. Dominique has extensive experience advising and mentoring students with learning differences and those who require classroom accommodations.

Dominique holds a Certificate for Independent Educational Consultants from the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

“The college application process has so many components so it is awesome to have someone like Dominique, who was patient, experienced, and responsive, to help, whether this was college list planning, resume building, or just going through the process overall.”
